History

Simply Kristi began as a plain homepage on March 18, 1997.

I began Simply Kristi as Little One's Place in GeoCities' Heartland's Plains neighborhood on Tuesday, March 18, 1997.  Little One was my online name at the time.  It started out as a simple homepage.  In May 1997, I moved the site to DELPHI Internet Services, where I was a member.  In November 1997, I renamed the site Kristi's Place because I thought it sounded much more sophisticated than Little One's Place.  In late December 1997 and early January 1998, I moved the pages to space on Q-Networks, my ISP at the time.  During March 1998, I began using graphics that various graphic artists had created.  Before that, the pages were just done with a multitude of colored text and backgrounds.  In September 1998, I moved Kristi's Place to GeoCities' Wellesley's Garden neighborhood.  In the winter of 1998 and 1999, I began creating my own graphics.  In July 1999, I moved Kristi's Place to its own domain where it remained for nearly two years.  In June 2001, after unsuccessfully trying to move Kristi's Place to a new host, I decided to go with a new domain name.  I came up with Simply Kristi.  That's what I use to describe myself.

I began Callie's Place as a single page on my original homepage, Little One's Place, where it remained until early 1999.  I created a small homepage for Callie in GeoCities' Petsburgh's Farm neighborhood.  After I got my domain in July 1999, I moved Callie's Page to my domain.  I eventually renamed Callie's Page to Callie's Place.  When I moved to Simply Kristi in June 2001, I simply named Callie's pages, Callie.  Now I have another cat, Pixie. Today, the cat section is called "My Cats."

My facial anomalies section began as a single page on my main homepage back in the spring of 1997.  I started building a craniofacial anomalies site that spring but dropped the project.  The original arhinia site was born on July 17, 1997, as a simple two-page homepage in GeoCities' HotSprings neighborhood.  The page was simply about arhinia and me.  In the fall of 1997, I moved it to some space on Q-Networks, my ISP at the time.  In late December 1997, I moved the site back to GeoCities' HotSprings' Spa neighborhood.  I maintained the site there until I moved it to its own domain in August 1999.  In June 2000, I decided that it was too much work and too expensive to maintain two websites so I combined Arhinia and Other Craniofacial Anomalies with Kristi's Place, my previous personal website.  It was not an easy decision to make.  I no longer provide information about craniofacial and other facial anomalies due to lack of time that I have to devote to maintaining the information.
